Fringe Fiction is currently closed to regular submissions. We are accepting “Remnants” theme-issue stories only. Any submission that does not include “Remnants” in the subject line will be deleted.
Please include word count in your email.
Short stories and self-contained novel excerpts should be 7,000 words or shorter — about 22 double spaced pages. Please submit only one short story or novel excerpt at a time. For Fringe’s purposes, a flash fiction (or shortshort) piece has 1,000 words or fewer. Submit 1-3 at a time, and please put “Flash Fiction” in the subject line.
We do not accept previously published work. If your story, or any excerpt of it, has been published in any form (including on personal blogs and school newspapers), please do not send it to Fringe. If you have a question on what constitutes “previously published,” query the editors before sending the piece.
