by Dianne Timblin Issue 30 05.21.2012

Still life with turnstile

the tile               the alteration          the platform
the sunglasses     the red jacket              the whir
the blue sign         the ratchet             the screech
the brown bag      the delay        the one witness
the pay phone        the map                 the silence
the doors closing       the fare              the blue line
                              the penny

Still life with industrial carpeting

the dot               the repetition                the dark
the framework    the cassette         the patchwork
the window      the black square                  the if
the hush             the hovering             the number
the forgotten     the right sock               the damp
the sidewalk        the waves                   the what
                        the open window

Still life with ceramic tile

the bowl             the banner              the monocle
the teeth          the four frames          the damage
the grain            the signature           the cigarette
the feather      the molded glass      the white rim
the serration   the checkerboard        the bandage
the cloud     the six of diamonds    the five leaves
                            the erasure
