Gary Presley has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Salon, and assorted other venues. His first love is creative nonfiction, but he also reviews for The Internet Review of Books and Kirkus. His memoir, Seven Wheelchairs: A Life beyond Polio, reviewed as “painful, powerful, and poetic,” was a 2008 publication of The University of Iowa Press.
