This essay was very inspiring. This most recent (finally over) fall semester I had to read Pamela (Samuel Richardson) for my enlightenment to Revolution class. I really wanted to apply a critical fashion commentary to Pamela’s obsession with “pretty things” and the dresses that B gives her to an analysis of class structure in the book. But I never really had the opportunity to do so within the limited confines of an undergraduate level class. One of my major gripes about being an undergrad lit major, I have little to no room to be creative with my analysis, its always compare these two texts, or create this particular sort of argument. Boring. So, yeah, thank you Kaley Jones! Very inspiring :)
